Wonderful 1940s 50s souvenir embroidered pajamas that also include wooden shoes, silk handkerchiefs or scarves, bow and flower hair pins and paper fan. Pajamas are a bright sapphire blue with white piping. The top is embellished with hand embroidered flowers and leaves. It’s a tunic style and closes with snaps that are covered with decorative flowers made of cord. Small pockets are placed on the front at hip level. The sleeves have elastic at the wrist and bell shaped cuff. The pants have wide legs and a piped panel waist in front and elastic in back. Fabric is acetate satin.Condition is very good. These have never been worn. There are small flaws.. there are some tape marks due to removal from the packaging. There is a small scratch on the acetate on the tunic. The elastic on the back of the pants has stretched out but could easily be replaced.The set comes with hand painted lacquer wooden platform geisha sandals. There are four hand painted silk scarves or handkerchiefs. There is also a card with a bow with bell and a silk flower are attached by Bobby pins - for your hair. Lastly, there is a paper pleated fan with two birds and metal handles. The paper on each side has come apart from the handle at the bottom but still opens fine and is usable.
